VX9000E (express) Restriction

VX9000E (express) Restriction

Hello

We have an old installation with VX9000E (express) and AP6522E (express).

The system works perfect the only issue is that when the VX9000E is down the AP's are also down.

A new installation to a different site with VX9000 (enterprise) and AP 7522 if the VX9000 goes down the AP’s continue working without any problem.

Is this a configuration issue or restriction of express platform ?

Thank you in advance.

Adding to Sam’s response. VX9000E supports distributed sites and AP6522E are site survivable APs (means APs will work in absence of controller should a link between APs and controller fail). What do you see in the “Event History” when the APs to offline?

Hi Alexandros, I believe the APs should still show as up even if the older VX9000E(express) is down. You may want to open a support ticket to investigate that, I think it might be a configuration issue.
