Symptoms
A stream of 'MRT: assertion (0) failed...' errors scroll in a serial console session (
5463).

../../../../src/application/ip_mcast/vendor/igmp2/prefix.cAs these messages are related to multicast functionality, it may be observed that multicast no longer functions.
Solution
For the I/G/C5/C3/B5/B3, upgrade to firmware 6.61.07.0010 or higher.
Release notes state, in the 'Changes and Enhancements in 6.61.07.0010' section:

For the C2, upgrade to firmware 5.02.17.0006 or higher.
