The 2G4072-52, also known as the "Matrix N Standalone" or "NSA", is a standalone Platinum DFE switch, has dimensions 2.8H x 17W x 18.5D, contains 48 10/100/1000 RJ45 ports plus four MGBIC slots, uses dual power supplies, and requires firmware 4.21.04 or higher.
MUA capability is 8 users per copper port, 128 users per MGBIC / LAG port, 1024 users per system - making it an Access switch.

The 7C111, also known as the "Matrix N1", is a one-slot DFE chassis (for housing existing Diamond/Platinum/Gold modules) with two fixed power supplies and six fixed fans, and modules running within it require firmware 5.13.04 or higher.

2G4082-25
The 2G4082-25 is a chassis-based Platinum DFE module containing 24 10/100/1000 RJ45 ports plus one Network Expansion Module (NEM) slot, and requires firmware 5.36.03 or higher. This module also includes the 256Mb memory upgrade (
5299) and as of firmware 5.41.25 includes the N-EOS-L3 license functionality (
5025) with no license configuration required. This module will function in a multi-slot N chassis (N3/N5/N7)(
5275), but because it has its FTM2 backplane components depopulated it will not interoperate with other modules in the chassis, so is best suited for the 7C111 chassis.
