Symptoms
Error message from current.log
"Last switch reset caused by power cycle"
Cause
An extract of a current.log file (
5487) may include a message similar to the following:

code:JAN 25 17:06:18 STK1 BOOT[223416920]: edb_bxs.c(557) 194 %%
code:Last switch reset caused by power cycle
This message will display if there was an interruption of system power which triggered a reboot of the switch unit in question,
or if the cause of the reboot was undefined to the message-generating subroutine.
Solution
Because this message is used as a "catch-all", care should be taken in interpreting it.
