I'm trying to setup multicasting so I can run a multicast installation of Windows 7 from Windows Deployment Services. I have two Enterasys switches/routers in between the windows server and the client machines that need to be imaged. I've already run interface vlan 1, then ip igmp enable, which seems to have caused our igmp group table to start populating with odd devices on the network that must have always been sending multicast packets. The thing is, the machines that need to be imaged are on vlan 16. Do I only need to run this command on vlan 16 to complete the configuration and get multicasting working from point A to B, or is there another step something to "bridge the gap"?

Hi tgp1994 The IGMP snooping that you have enabled is for layer 2 Multcasting, contained within one vlan. In addition you will need Multicast routing (DVMRP or PIM-SM) between your vlans to see the Multicast groups from vlan 1 in vlan 16 I am not sure what enterasys kit you have but you will require a C series or up with advance routing license. On the website you can find a very good document on how to configure Multicast
