Thanks for the feedback James. There are a few new features to the community that appear a little more "in your face", that is for sure. The new topic view allows you to drill down a little easier to exactly what you would like to see. For instance, if you would like to only look at questions, you can click on that selection, then you are presented with options to filter those topics which is a very nice feature in my opinion. Also, if you want to just select "conversations" you will see all recent topics that have occurred and gives you a picture of all activity in the community. Would you find value in a sidebar that highlights specific conversations? This is your community so I would love to hear what you would like to see and how we can make your experience the best it could be.
