Hi,
we are planning our course schedule for the first half of 2022. Could we have a list of classes that are available during this time?
The reason for my question is that in recent years we have repeatedly sold courses that were then discontinued at short notice. Also this time we have the Campus Fabric (4-Days) until the end of 2021. sold several times. Therefore, it would be nice if we could get a little planning reliability. If you are not sure what will happen in the future for some courses, you can make a list with the courses that are safe.
Furthermore it would be nice if this topic is updated regularly.
Regards
Patrick

Hi Patrick
Below is some information on the planned updates, this includes implementing a new 4 pillars model for classes (Deploy (ECS courses), Manage, Optimize & Troubleshoot):
ECS – ExtremeWireless Cloud - Will move to four pillars Sept/Oct timeframe may reduce ECS deploy to 2 days.
ECS – ExtremeWireless Cloud Troubleshooting - update due Q2
ECS – ExtremeWireless Core - looking Q2 to move to pillars
ECS – ExtremeNAC - Q2 update
ECS – ExtremeCampus EXOS Switching and Routing - review in place looking at pillars hopefully Mid September may reduce to 2 days as Fabric
ExtremeXOS Fundamentals - to be reviewed
ECS - ExtremeAccess Control - Review in progress
ECS - ExtremeManagement Center - update in progress to 8.5 code and conversion to XIQ-SE. XMC will still be available on one lab but will cease to be a cert course. Retirement planned EOY.
ECS – Extreme SLX Configuration and Implementation - In progress and conversion to pillar format
Optimizing XMC - In review changing to XIQ-SE
This is a working guide, as dates are firmed up for class changes we will ensure that this information is communicated.

Hi Tomasz
My understanding is that the plan is that XMC will be retired and there will be a new class - XIQ-SE

Hi Katie,
With XMC, do you mean XMC class will be gone but XIQ-SE class will be there, or is it going to be XIQ-SE somehow incorporated into XIQ set of classes?
Thanks,
Tomasz

Kind regards

Hi Katie,
great, thanks. Maybe you could update this article if you have more detailed information. We (and I assume other ATPs too) are having some organizational issues with the changes. We plan about 6 months in advance to have enough time to fill the courses after planning and advertising. It would be nice if there was a transition period for the old and new courses. Just like other manufacturers (e.g. Cisco) do.
Maybe you can use something like the following process:
