Hi everyone,
One of our customer uses Cisco GLC-EX-SMD (1000BASE-EX SFP transceiver module, SMF, 1310nm, 40km, DOM) GBIC and wants to use the equivalent of an Extreme SFP instead about 200 amounts. We decided to give MGBIC-08 1000BASE-ELX (70KM) 1 LC PORT but, its wave length is different from Cisco.
GLC-EX-SMD wave lenght 1310nm, 40km
MGBIC-08 wave lenght 1550nm, 80km
So, I will be glad if you tell me the equivalent Extreme SFP model of Cisco.
Regards,
Yasar

Hi Drew,
They will use EX SFP's on Cisco switch, I do not know the exact model, and they will use the Extreme SFP on N-Series chassis as backbone.
