What is the best way to summarize both networks on computers BD8810
Networks are 172.22.xx 172.19.xx both in area and currently OSPF stub with the following settings

BD8810-1
0.0.0.15 create ospf area
0.0.0.15 configure OSPF stub area stub NOSUMMARY-default-cost 20

BD8810-2
0.0.0.15 create ospf area
0.0.0.15 configure OSPF stub area stub NOSUMMARY-default-cost 20

Summarization must be type-3 or type-7?

There will be some type of flashing to networks outside this area 0.0.0.15

Hello,

If I understand this right you would like to advertise the summarized networks 172.22/16 and 172.19/16 from area 15 to area 0. Is this accurate?

hope the following helps.

Use the area command:

Config ospf area add range advertise

An area 0 range command will summarize routes from area 0 into other areas.

An area X range command will summarize routes from area X into the backbone.

use type 3 to advertise stub area into backbone.

Regards,

Mike
