Hi, I do have 2 switches x450a-48t i want to interconnect them using a fiber patch, multi mode sfp connectors and LC -SC fiber patch codes..
Will generic 1GB sfp connectors work?.
Do i need any extra modules/cards to have fiber connection?
I am using EXOS version 12 and i can't see debug hal show optic-info port # command this worries me..
Please advise . Thank you so much

You can bravely use Cat5-6-7 copper cable on that distance to have 1Gb interconnect. Or if you already have a fiber cable between them, you should first define the type of that cable and only then -- to choose proper SFP modules, using suitable connectors (LC or SC)

of course this will work. But you should notice, what kind of fiber optics you use and what EXACTLY sfp modules you have: are they MultiMode 850nm? Or just DUPLEX 1300 nm to be used with single mode fiber?
What is the future distance between swtiches? Maybe usual copper patch cord would be enough?
