Summary

A security update has been released for a third-party scripting language runtime and its standard library to address multiple defects. The Ubuntu vulnerabilities affect markup parsing, an XML parser binding, cookie value handling, compression object reuse, a file transfer client module, and a helper that launches an external viewer. A remote attacker supplying untrusted input could potentially cause excessive resource consumption or a crash through unbounded recursion or malformed markup, inject arbitrary content into cookie values, trigger a use-after-free in a reused decompression object, or execute operating system commands through crafted addresses that are interpreted as command line options. The vendor has evaluated these issues against affected offerings and resolved them in the referenced maintenance release.

The following CVEs have been addressed:
CVE-2021-4189, CVE-2025-69534, CVE-2026-3644, CVE-2026-4224, CVE-2026-4519, CVE-2026-4786, and CVE-2026-6100.
