Summary

PHP uses longjmp() for out-of-memory (OOM) errors to exit the current context and abort handling of the request. Some contexts may not properly account for this scenario and leave request memory in an uninitialized state before performing an allocation. The subsequent request cleanup procedure may read or branch on this memory. Multiple OOM strategies can consistently trigger this condition and lead to remote code execution (RCE).

@ZdenÄ›k_Pala

Hi, maybe somebody can update the "main" articles regarding php2shell?

https://extreme-networks.my.site.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000139685

https://extreme-networks.my.site.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000139686

ExtremeControl is still listed as "investigating" even though there is already a fix present for the issue.
In the past days I checked the above two articles regulary for any new information, assuming there is no update and stumbled upon the ExtremeControl  article today by accident.
