Home Lab for Extreme Networking. Would like to setup a lab to learn about Extreme networking. What switches are good to buy off ebay for a home lab. What switches would be good to learn layer 3 routing and intervlan routing and is there a free version of netsight.
If you're just trying to learn, this is definitely your best solution. Even second hand, Extreme stuff is not cheap. To get decent routing features you would need to get the X450-G2 platform or better.
netsight is now called Extreme Management Center. You can download it from extranet.extremenetworks.com you will need license. You can get the license at the extranet also or you can contact local system engineer. Extranet is also called portal  Good luck.
