As commented in other posts, the correct way to get the hardware type of an EXOS device using snmp, is with sysObjectID.
Doing that for X690, X770, X870, it always return:
:~$ snmpget -v2c -c public sparex690 188.8.131.52.184.108.40.206.0

For that test, I enable the jumbo frames in both switches, and create the test vlan to test a 40Gb link.
If I run the test with a Size Frame of 64 or 1518, it run...
