This is a /29 subnet, so it starts at 172.18.175.137 and ends at 172.18.175.143. Is the host you are trying to ping in that range ?
Is your destination host able to use tagged frames (only port in this vlan is port 6 tagged).

Yes , the destination host is in this range. Is it necessary to tag this VLAN as this is the only vlan present in this port ?

No, you can add it untagged.so a normal PC can be attached to the port.

Hi Kalyan,
Just for the clarification, are you  trying to ping a host connected in port 6 from the switch in the same subnet range and it is failing?

if so, please try disabling the firewall in PC and check.

Try adding the port untagged to the vlan.
configure vlan WCG_UPLINK-OAMVLAN add port 6 untagged

- Are there any access-list active on the port 6? Can you check with the command, show access-list? - Also, please ensure if the NIC on the server is configured with tag or without tag.
- What happens if you initiate the ping to the switch VLAN IP from the server?

Can you please show the ping results from the switch? Is it just not responding or are you getting an error like can't reach subnet? Sometimes you need to add the VR that you are pining from.

Can you ping from the server to the switch?

Thanks
P

Paul is right I think. :)
Missed the VR configuration for the VLAN. The VLAN is a part of the VR OM_CN.

SRBHPP-EOAMSW-01.3 # show vlan WCG_UPLINK-OAMVLAN

Just try to ping with the command,

ping vr OM_CN <destination address> and let us know the results.

Does show fdb WCG_UPLINK-OAMVLAN show any fdb learned ?
show port 6 statistics show any packets received/transmitted ?
Any errors on the port (show port 6 rxerrors)
