AP630 with Ubiquiti POE++ Adapter

AP630 with Ubiquiti POE++ Adapter

Hi,

  I have an AP630 which is powered from a UniFi PoE++ Adapter (60W) however, the LED is flashing white to indicate low power and in the Wired Interfaces i can see it states against the interfaces and orange warning icon which states "PoE Degraded" when i hover over it with the mouse.

Should this not power the AP sufficently?

That is really dissapointing given this is supposed to be a standard Christoph S, but i feel this lies with the injector rather than the AP so i think i'll go an ask over at the Ubiquiti forums.

Thanks

Hello @TheBR,

Tested a Ubiguiti POE++ power injector on our APs and the most I could get out of it was 802.3AF power no matter what was tried, which is what you are seeing. These power injectors don't seem to be compatible for some reason. No further tests were made.

BR,

Christoph S.

APs with higher power (PoE+) requirements often display this issue with various switches that power them
On Aruba 6300 I needed to add to the port: power-over-ethernet allocate-by class
On HP 29x0 I needed: no lldp config 2/8 dot3TlvEnable poeplus_config

See what you might need to adjust in UniFi
