how can I get the monitor tab option?  Is there another way to upload the new firmware.

When you go to Monitor> Check the box next to the AP> Update Devices> Check the box next to Upgrade HiveOS and Extreme-Aerohive switch images> Upgrade to the specific version> Do you see an option to Add/Remove? If not, you may want to try updating via the Web UI of the AP instead, which this guide covers: https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/Upgrading-AP-firmware-via-web-UI
