Bulk Import AP's

So far so not impressed with HMOL NG's bulk AP import functionality as compared to classic. Saw another post on the Auto provisioning and 1- not really written well 2- Doesn't tell you the format csv needs to be in to onboard devices 3- Onboarding devices doesn't tell you which line has an error when adding devices

You have to go through two steps to bulk import. Still need to test if static power and channel assignment as well as location information will work in NG.

Any plans to fix all that ? Also remembered from one of my previous post what is the ETA on the AP Host Names in the beacons? Thought it was supposed to happen in 2017 ?

Well looks like with 8.2r2 I still don't see AP Hostnames in the beacons. Nothing showing up in the packet capture nor Ekahau

Thank you, I was planning on updating this today but you beat me to it. I was working on something else and ended up seeing this 🙂. Can't wait to test it out. Looks like they started to introduce it in 8.2r2. Thank you for sharing the release notes. This is exciting.

The host names in beacons feature was added in the 8.3r4 firmware. Check the new features and enhancements section in the release notes.
