I received an AP 122 at an Aerohive seminar about a year ago and put it aside. I would now like to use it to extend my Comcast wireless range. However, it doesn't seem to be connecting to anything, and when I look at it in HiveManager NG, it gives an error saying that I should try to establish a CAPWAP connection to HiveManager. How acan I do that when it doesn't seem to be communication with the Comcast wireless router?

You’ll need to wire it to establish layer three connectivity. Afterward, follow along here...

@BJStahlin - Thank you for responding. The AP came with a PoE Injector, which is connected, and the AP shows an orange light, so it is getting power from the injector. I thought that the AP would automatically connect with the Comcast wirelessly and then connect with HiveManager. However, it doesn't seem to be doing anything, and when I look for the device via my laptop, it doesn't even show up.
Anyone? I would greatly appreciate any assistance. Thanks!

Does your Comcast router provide PoE (power over ethernet)? If not, you will need to provide power to the AP with a PoE switch or PoE injector.

Do you have it connected with a wire? Do you have link lights on the router? Is the AP getting an IP address?
