Unable to activate Email Service

Unable to activate Email Service

Hi, we are trying to unable email service settings.

We are able to conduct a email test which is successful.

Then, we click on the button "Update" and we get the message "Email notification settings were updated successfully."

However, "Email Service Settings" then goes unckecked.

Have you ever met this kind of problem ? Should we active something more to allow Email service ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

the email test works flawlessly and I've received some system mails when checking nearly all the boxes in this interface.

I've understood my mistake for emailing PPSK key, I was thinking that the mail was automatically sent when adding an email to the key. In fact, we have to update the PPSK key with the email address and then check again the PPSK key checkbox and select Email PPSK.

Sorry for the lack of understanding (maybe something could be done about the usage of the checkbox in email service settings which is, I think, not so clear) and thanks for your help.

Best Regards,

The box doesn't have to be checked for those settings to be implemented, that box just tells the GUI to expand the settings area. If you have the email settings filled out, could you try an Email Test (option should be at the top of the page of the HiveManager Services area)?

Hi and sorry for the late reply,

The settings stay the same after checking the box again.

However, shoudn't this box remain checked to make the email service active ?

We have configured user email addresses for PPSK User (In Authentication -> Local Users) but no mail is received.

Furthermore, we've activated many events in email service settings but we haven't received anything.

Best Regards,

Thanks very much for that video! That should be expected behavior so far, if you check the Email Service Settings box again, do you still see your proper setting in there? What's happening here is the page is reloading after updating, and by default that page has all options collapsed. That said, I do want to make sure your settings are saving properly as well.
