You can also filter based upon location, network policy, etc. It sounds like you're looking for classifier tags, which were available in Classic, hopefully coming to cloud soon.

If you could please submit a request that would be great. The naming scheme that we use would require us to use a wildcard in order to filter out specific devices. Thanks for your help on this.

Unfortunately that field only uses the host name of the device, a serial number of a device, or the MAC address of a device. If you'd like, I can submit a feature request for you to add this feature in a later version for you, just let me know if that is something you'd like to pursue.
