We installed recently a few AP650's (802.11ax). We don't using the 802.11ax technologie at the moment as some important clients have problems connecting to a 802.11ax network. It is a high-density environment. The company keeps having problems with speed and connection drops. I did some packetcapture and see an airtime consumptiom of more then 100% on very regular times. I also see max data rates of 24Mbps wich make the airtime consumption even worse. Most of the data frames are QOS data frames of the 'best-effort' type. Is it correct to assume that the max 24Mbps data rates is an effect of the QOS kicks in due the airtime consumption? We configured load balancing of clients based on airtime consumption, however I believe the constant ups and downs of the airtime consumption makes it hard for the Aerohive manager to balance the clients between access points.

Thank you for those packet captures. Would you be able to add me as an external user so I can take a look at some of your settings? No changes will be made, I just want to get an idea of the settings we're working with.
If you'd like to add me, please use the email address spriok@extremenetworks.com. This guide reviews how to add an external user and how to find your Organization Name, which I will need in order to find your VIQ instance in particular: https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/Allowing-Support-Access-to-HiveManager

You can set data rates in the SSID optional settings, so that could be separate from your Qos Settings. Could you send the packet capture you're referencing to me at communityhelp@aerohive.com so I can review it?
