If you go in to the Map you are working with and click on the gear shaped icon in the top right hand corner> Global Settings> you'll want to uncheck the box next to "Calibrate Heat Maps". This setting gives you heat maps based on data from background scans that the APs do. We aren't going to be able to generate heat maps based on background scans with simulated devices because they obviously don't do background scans. If you turn this setting off and then generate a heat map, these will be estimations based on power levels of the APs and walls drawn in on the maps.

The calibrate heat map settings was removed from HiveManager, however the simulated devices should still be populating a heat map on the plan view of HiveManager. I would advise opening a case to look in to why you aren't seeing heat maps.

Hello, I have a similar issue.
I added new simulated AP and manually placed them on my map.
However I cannot show any heat map.
I went into the settings but I can find the one you are talking about.
How can I see heatmap with only Planned APs on an up to date HiveManager
