Hello, @Franksel
Contact the Seller
Reach out to the seller and ask them to remove the AP1130 from their account. This is the most straightforward solution. They may need to log in to their account and deregister the device.
2. Contact the Manufacturer's Support
If contacting the seller is not possible, contact the manufacturer's support team (e.g., Aruba, Cisco, etc., depending on the brand of the AP1130). Provide them with: obamacare enrollment
The serial number (S/N: 11301701130177).
Proof of purchase, such as a receipt or transaction record, showing you are the new owner.
Explain the situation, and they may assist in deregistering the device.
3. Check the Device Status
Some manufacturers provide online tools to check whether the device is still under an account. Visit the manufacturer's support website and use the serial number to verify the device's status.
4. Factory Reset
Perform a factory reset on the AP1130. This might not remove it from the previous account, but it will erase all previous configurations and settings. Check the user manual for instructions on performing a factory reset.
5. Account Transfer Request
Some manufacturers allow the transfer of ownership upon request. If the device is still tied to an account, request an ownership transfer through their support team.
6. Contact Reseller or Distributor
If you purchased the device from a reseller or distributor, ask them for assistance in resolving the issue. They may have a process for handling account-locked devices.
Best Regards
