We have just purchased 25 Aerohive AP250 but was only able to onboard 7 on the portal. With the 5 or 6 others that I've so far tried, I keep getting this error "The product type for the device does not exist", which is really strange.

We're always happy to help on the forum, or if you have a question you'd rather not post publicly please feel free to email me at communityhelp@aerohive.com. I looked for a sales order I could link you to but unfortunately I'm not finding anything. If you can provide an entitlement key or sales order, I can link you to the proper account and let you know what support level you have. You'd need to purchase partner or Select support in order to open a technical support ticket and work with an Aerohive engineer directly.

I know you guys have been helpful on the community.

I was wondering if I needed any remote support on the Aerohive, would that be through this channel?

I believe we purchased the support package as well.

Kind regards,
Ade.

Great stuff guys, that works. What you don’t know, you don’t know.

Thanks!
Ade.

For HiveManager NG you'll want to click on the silhouette icon in the top right hand corner> Global Settings> Device Management Settings. When a device takes a configuration update from the AP, it will use the password set here.

It's serving clients? So it has a config from some HM instance? If so, the username will be admin and the password will be what is shows under Home - Device Management Settings for HM Classic. I don't have an active version of HM NG to be able to detail the location of where the new "default" password lives. But look for something similar to the above.
