Thank you for that tech data. I'm seeing no significant interference on the wifi0 radio, but I did see some interference on the wifi1 radio. I sent you a picture so you can see what I'm referencing, we're seeing a 29% rx retry rate and a 23% CRC failure rate. This means that 23%-29% of your traffic is too damaged to receive and has to be resent at least once, likely more than once, before the receiving radio can read the data and move on to the next set of packets. That will cause some slow down on your network, but since the wifi0 radio is fine, I don't think this is your main issue. That said, this guide reviews some steps you can take to mitigate interference, if you're interested: https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/Radio-Frequency-Interference-Troubleshooting

Otherwise, I'm seeing that you have QoS enabled for some of your users, and that we're using Bonjour. These functions have been known to slow the wireless down. As a test, would it be possible for you to create a new temporary SSID without QoS or Bonour enabled, to see if you have the same speed issues without these features in production? That will let us rule these out as the issue, or help to narrow down what we need to troubleshoot. I'm not saying that we can't use these features without slow down, but if we find that the wireless speeds are better without those settings, then we can see what we can adjust within those features to help with the wireless speed.

Thank you but unfortunately I'm not seeing the tech data files. Could you try emailing them to communityhelp@aerohive.com?

Sam,

Thank you for your assistance. I have attached 2 Tech Data files from two of our hives. They have a few users, but since its summer there are not a lot of traffic, so there really shouldn’t be any reason our upload and download times are this slow. L

Cox 500 down and 30 up, so the tests are showing a big jump and it’s not good. L

Blessings,

Polly

In general we recommend you keep up with the latest recommended versions (which you can check here, we update this page when new releases come out: https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/question/0D50c00005jmpq9CAA/aerohive-hiveos-access-point-mat...). That said, if you can send me tech data from a problematic AP, I can check for interference for you, which is the most common cause of slower wireless speeds. If you can let me know which HiveManager platform you are using, I can give you a guide for troubleshooting interference as well. This guide will walk you through how to determine which HiveManager you are using, for reference: https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/Which-HiveManager-Platform-am-I-using

These guides review how to get tech data, depending on which HiveManager platform you are using:

HiveManager Classic-https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/How-to-download-tech-data-in-Classic

HiveManager NG-https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/How-to-download-tech-data-in-HiveManager

Device CLI-https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/Collecting-Tech-Data-via-CLI

If you'd like to send the tech data to me directly, my email is communityhelp@aerohive.com.
