I tried to boot off image 2 but had the same result. I then did some reading online and someone suggested to load a non existing config file by running config something, This didnt seem to help. I then decided to update the xos, So I downloaded the latest available for the switch which seems to be 12.6.5.2. Update completed successfully and cleared out all the configs. It rebooted and boot confirms its loading Starting ExtremeXOS 12.6.5b2 but still I get the same error message as above.

I am not quite sure how to run a hardware diagnostics to see if there is a hardware fault with the unit, or I am just doing something wrong

One thing that does stand out is there are 2 PSU led's on the front the bottom one does not illuminate at all, The other 3 LED's including another PSU led do illuminate. I am wondering its a power supply issue.

If it did not boot up after a clean install of an image I think it is broken.

Hi Oscar,

That is the process I followed, although I didn't have the guide. Is there anyway i can run a diagnostics to identify a hardware failure or is this unit rubbish pile destined ?

Most times when you see errors like this during bootup there is a hardware problem.
You could use this procedure to install a complete new image on the switch and see if it boots properly.
