Hi:
We have configured the "session persistence" in a site in a WLC XCC, however I have the doubt, how long is it able to maintain the session of the authenticated users (PSK) in an Access Point, after losing communication with the WLC? If you could share an experience with me with this feature enabled, I would appreciate it.

Hi Mjlopez,
the answer is forever.
The first article tells you that the function was just copied from Identify and the second one goes in more detail about the function.

Iāve used that feature i.e. to configure an AP as an site survey AP - after the config was done the controller wasnāt longer required and Iād put it in my car and if Iād need one to survey a new client Iāve one preconfigured.
Cheers,
Ron

Hi Mjlopez,
I never paid attention to this point when the AP is off line but the session time out are defined in the advanced tab of the SSID.
Here a screen shot:
I would imagine this parameters should be taken into account.
If someone as field experience on that it would be great.
