We are going to be upgrading a customers E2120 wireless controller from 4.76 to either 5.26 or 5.36. We are working on getting the activation activation licenses at the moment. Can we jump straight from 4.76 to 5.26/36, or do we need to follow a specific upgrade path to get the appliance up to one of the firmware's listed above?
One other question, do we need to upgrade AP firmware as well?

Hi,
You should be able to upgrade directly from 4.76 to 5.36. However, there are a couple of caveats and if you get them addressed, a direct upgrade is possible:
1- The XCC version 4.76 supported ādistributed sitesā, XCC version 5 does not support that. So, if you have distributed sites then the upgrade will fail, you must delete the distributed sites to proceed with upgrade.
2- The licensing model between the two version is slightly different, you must migrate your licenses accordingly. I believe you are already in process of doing it.
XCC version 5 has a lot of new features, enhancements and fixes, an AP upgrade is necessary to make use of those.
