Extreme control XIQ site Engine installation on a Proxmox vm/cluster

I recently built a Proxmox VE (type-1 hypervisor) cluster with multiple nodes and VMs, and I’m trying to deploy ExtremeCloud IQ – Site Engine with Control. Since Extreme only provides a VMware OVA, does anyone know the supported or recommended way to install XIQ-Site Engine on Proxmox?

Thanks to everyone’s help so far — I’ve successfully downloaded the ISO and installed ExtremeCloud IQ Site Engine in my home lab. However, I’m unable to proceed with the setup because it requires a license, and it seems even the air‑gapped mode needs one. Is there a free or lab‑friendly license option available, or any way to evaluate the software without a paid license?

Thanks

Hi Kriss,

promox is officially not a supported hypervisor. You can find the supported installation methods here:
https://extreme-networks.my.site.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000084351

I am using the ova images for xiq-se and control on proxmox without any issues for the past several years, in multiple instances.
