How to setup a smtp e-mail server with smtp authetication required in NetSight?

I can not find the option...

It works with gmail.

First add the following line to /usr/local/Extreme_Networks/NetSight/appdata/NSJBoss.properties
mail.smtp.port=587
mail.smpt.auth=true
mail.smtp.starttls.enable=true

Then login gmail account, disable to 2-step verification, and enable "Access for less secure apps"

Modify the NetSight E-Mail Server Option.

Test the mail setting.

It works~

Hi Shunzie, thanks for the update on this one!
I just wanted to note that you shouldn't have to disable 2-step authentication with Gmail if you use an application specific password.

Might try this:
add this to NSJBoss.properties file:



mail.smtp.port=465

mail.smtp.socketFactory.port=465

mail.smtp.socketFactory.class=javax.net.ssl.SSLSocketFactory

mail.smtp.socketFactory.fallback=false

mail.smtp.starttls.enable=true

restart services after changes.
