Hello,
I have two tasks to finish a ztp+ deployment for a customer.
One is apply port templates. The switches are 24 and 48 ports and the setup requires the last 4 ports to have one port template and the rest another. I think I can do that with a workflow, getting the type of switch and calculating the appropriate ranges.
The second is to apply a system name based on the site the switch is discovered and its ip.
Don you know if there are other workflows that I can use as examples?
If there are better methods than workflows, let me know.
Regards
Salva.

Hi Salva,
Each site has a tab called Port Templates which has ZTP+ Automated Templates / Device Mappings which allow you to add a Device Mapping based on Family and Device type ie 5320-48P-8XE-SwitchEngine. For each row you can Add Port Mappings to the right with your preferred Template and Port range. For example, template AP will be used for ports 1:47-1:48. As for the system name, you can set this when the device is discovered during ZTP+ in the Discovered window I think.

Oh thanks, I didn't realize the automated template could be tweaked down to the device type. The sysname is already handled by a script triggered by the ZTP+ process.
Thank you Robert!!
