Hi,
This may be a duplicate post, not sure, so forgive me if it is:
Question.
Back in the day, i cloned the AP650-default template and named it AP650-no24ghz. Then inside my Network Policy, i specified which AP template to use, which was the no24ghz one.
I had an issue with an AP, and so selected it, and went to Action >> Revert Device To Template Default. I dont think its working correctly.
My question is this, when i select revert to template default, which template is it choosing? is it the actual default AP template, or the one I assigned to the network policy?
It wont let me edit the actual default template, and i bet i cant delete it. So, you can see the problem here if you decide not to use one of the default AP templates. Lets face it, no way you would do that, as there are always tweaks and changes, so you woudl create a clone.
anyway, someone know the answer?
thanks,
Jason.

It would be the one assigned in your network policy that gets reverted. I have several custom templates that are associated in the network policy and can confirm on AP230 and AP250 at least when I revert it is the custom templates that get reverted to that has all the good things we require. There was a time that this revert had issues but has been fixed now at least for the AP's that we have. approx 1300+ I have a custom for each AP type and set settings like wifi0/wifi1 radio profiles and supplemental cli like
system power-mode 802.3at
no system led power-saving-mode
interface eth1 mode bridge-access
interface eth1 mac-learning enable
This is what I chose to name the Custom AP230/AP250 templates.
Custom_AP230_ETH1_Bridge-Access
Custom_AP250_SDR_ETH1_Bridge-Access
Hope this helps but I'm not sure about that particular AP.
Thanks,
Shawn
