Hi everyone and extreme networks. I recently got an ap460e-fcc new. I set up mu xiq account and on trying to onboard the ap am being told two things; i input a s/n of 14 characters yet the s/n i got on this machine is of 10 characters, another thing they saying "device isn't a supported universal ap.
How can i resolve this issue with my ap and onboard it through xiq or through SHH. Really given me a headache. Thanks

The AP460i/e models are not supported directly on XIQ. It is only supported on ExtremeCloud IQ Controller on Premise.

Depending on scale, you can look at the following, regarding On-Prem Controller for the AP460i/e models:
E1120/E2120/E2122/E3120/E3125/VE6120/VE6125 (These are Extreme Cloud IQ Controllers for On-Premises)
VX9000 (WiNG Distributed)
I would touch base with your reseller that you purchased the AP460e from, to assist.

Hello @Ntegeibra,
The AP460e can operate as a standalone AP in WiNG mode. The AP is a DHCP client out of the box, once connected, you can ssh into it and use the following credentials: admin/admin123. If for some reason you are not able to ssh into it, then try consoling into it via a console cable using the following:
Baud rate (speed): 115200
Username: admin
PW: admin123
This AP has two operational modes: WiNG distributed and WiNG Centralized. Once you SSH or console into it, press the letter "S" on your keyboard so that boots up into WiNG distributed mode for standalone functionality. If it's in WiNG centralized it will need a controller.
If in doubt, SSH or console into it and provide us with a screenshot of the page. I'll let you know which operational mode it's in.
BR,
