Relocate AP to another account

Relocate AP to another account

Hello,

We need to move some of the APs in one Pilot IQ account to another account. Before we do that, I want to ask and make sure  that if we can keep the original configuration on the those APs.

Thanks,
Lisa.

Hi Lisa, If the APs are currently connected to the XIQ instance, they will reset to factory default settings when removed from the inventory. For HiveOS devices, you can try disconnecting the AP from XIQ with the CLI command “no capwap client”, then remove the serial number from your original device inventory and add it to the new inventory. That should keep the configuration on the AP until it connects to the new XIQ instance, at which point it will reach out for the configuration assigned to it via the new instance.
