yes. These are the exact steps:

1. log in to your XIQ that you would like to de-associate.
2. Under Global Setting > Accounts > Account management.
3. Select your name and click edit.
4. Change your email name to another
5. Save & close.

If your pilot account has already expired you have to open an GTAC case and ask for an temporary key to free your email. Check extremeportal.force.com to open a case.

would this be under global settings? When I click that nothing happens. no menu or options show up

Hello,

the email is part of the setting. You can reach the setting in the upper right corner in XIQ. You should use an address which is accessable for you (in case you need access to the old account). Feel free to use an arbitrary freemail account.

 where do I go about changing the email address on the pilot account. Does it need to be changed to a real email address I will need to check or can i set it to anything and just reregister using my email address for a new account
