VSP-8404 temperature alarm

VSP-8404 temperature alarm

Hi,

We have eight VSP-8404 that were recently upgraded from 6.1.3.0 to 8.0.7.0 and after the upgrade one of them has started sending a temp high trap.

rcn2kCardZoneOverheat [1] rc2kCardIndex.0 (Integer): 1 [2] rcSlotType.0 (Integer): slot1 [3] rc2kCardZoneTemperature.0 (Integer): 46 [4] rc2kCardTemperatureZoneInfo.0 (Integer): 4

Does anyone know if the thresholds have been changed and if there is a command to see/modify the thresholds?

Here are the current temperatures (Celsius):

CPU Temperature    MAC Temperature   PHY1 Temperature   PHY2 Temperature
45                               47                               40                                41

The other seven are about 5 degrees lower so my guess is a threshold somewhere has changed but I would like it verified.

Apparently this was a bug and fixed in 8.0.8.0

VOSS-14531

VOSS-16276

Incorrect Temperature Alarm “Correct the Warning/Critical temperature Threshold values for various platforms (VOSS 8200, 8400, 7254xxx, and 7400) temperature sensors to ensure the threshold ranges are different for different sensors. Based on these ranges the warning alarm are raised respectively. The values for each sensors are updated in the installation document”
