x460 Mac Port Security

x460 Mac Port Security

Hello,

we want to configure Mac based port security on a x460 switch.

Is it possible to enter upfront the mac address of the device that should be allowed to use the port or does this only work through mac learning feature?

We have the mac addresses of 40 devices in an Excel sheet and would like to configure the ports upfront.

Thanks for your help!

We only have the base licence of XMC - Extreme Control is not included as far as I know - I will look up the details. Thank you, Stefan!

No. But when you speak of XMC, do you also have a ExtremeControl (NAC) in place? It would be much nicer to implement it via NAC instead of static MAC-Locking. Some NAC End-Systems licenses are also included in your XMC subscription I believe.

Thanks, Stefan - did you ever use this feature from XMC?

Greetings,

MAC-Locking is the feature that you want.
