15101 X250e-24T Switch loses configuration after a few minutes.

Hello,

we have a problem with several Extreme Networks 15101 X250e-24T switches that all loses the conig after a few minutes of running time.

Does anyone know this problem too and how to fix it?

EDIT:

Detailed explanation:

We set a username and password.
Save it in both, the primary and secondary .cfg.
Restart the switch, the config is saved.

Run the switch 15 minutes.

Restart again.

The config is gone, the switch is reset to default.

Thank you.

Hello Tony,

thank you for your answer!

Unfortunately, no it's not connected.

Here are the steps we've done:

code:
--- The following steps were performed ------------

X250e-24t.6 # configure account admin
password: TESTER
Reenter password: TESTER
* X250e-24t.7 #

* X250e-24t.7 # save
The configuration file primary.cfg already exists.
Do you want to save configuration to primary.cfg and overwrite it? (y/N) Yes
Saving configuration on master .... done!
Configuration saved to primary.cfg successfully.
X250e-24t.8 # save secondary
Do you want to save configuration to secondary.cfg? (y/N) Yes
Saving configuration on master ... done!
Configuration saved to secondary.cfg successfully.

The current selected default configuration database to boot up the system
(primary.cfg) is different than the one just saved (secondary.cfg).

The selected configuration will take effect after the next switch reboot.

X250e-24t.10 # reboot
Are you sure you want to reboot the switch? (y/N) Yes
The system is going down NOW !!
Sending SIGKILL to all processes.
Please stand by while rebooting the system.

This switch currently has all management methods enabled for convenience reasons.
Please answer these questions about the security settings you would like to use.

Telnet is enabled by default. Telnet is unencrypted and has been the target of
security exploits in the past.

Would you like to disable Telnet? [y/N]:

After the restart the device is in the delivery state again. I read in another post that it may be due to a broken partition. Software needs to be reinstalled. Problem is that there are now two switches with the same issue.

Falco

Do you possibly have these devices connected to XMC with the ZTP+ profile running under the site under "ZTP+ defaults" tab? XMC could be what is overwriting the config.
