Hello Community,
I am having an issue trying to add a port to our Default VLAN which I have done successfully on many occasions in the past.
I have taken the port out of Netlogin (dot1x and mac).
I then try to add the port to the Default VLAN as untagged and have the message below.
The port XX is already added dynamically by an application and can't be added manually.
I have tried removing the port from the Default VLAN in case this was the issue and have the message
Port XX is added by Network login and can't be removed manually.
The port is not using Netlogin that I can see in the config so I don't know why the message above appears.
I am using EXOS 33.3.1.4.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks,
Tuesday
Hello. It does sound if the port is being tied down by a feature. This commonly is netlogin or policy though please try the following to help narrow down or isolate the issue:
1) If policy is enabled, disable policy and then see if the port can be removed. There could be a policy rule also assigned to the port.
2) Further review the 'show configuration' output to see is any features being used that could be dynamically assigning or using the port in question.
3) Also check the 'show VLAN' output to see if dynamic VLAN is assigned
4) Try to clear the netlogin state using the command: clear netlogin state port <port-number>
5) Disconnect any connection to the port and disable the port before adding/removing the port from the VLAN
