Great there is a whole chapter of this in the concepts guide. You can either enable the Legacy CLI on a per session or you can make it your default until you get comfortable with XOS.

Hello Theo
Yes there is a software module called legacy CLI that allows you to use L2 Cisco commands on the switch. It allows you to use batch mode where you type in all of the commands and then execute or use training mode where you type in the IOS command and then the CLI will tell you what the XOS version is.
You can download the software module via esupport.
