The ExtremeWare products (S200, S300, S400, 48si, etc.) allowed xmodem transfer for code, but the images were much smaller. On EXOS based hardware, this isn't possible.

xmodem took MANY hours when i had to do it. Especially if you didn't change the console speed.

That was more a theoretical question, as for SecureStack it is possible

No, you can't upgrade through serial.
Also you have to think (if it were possibile (teoretically)) - how long it takes to download image (50MB) with speed 9,6 kbit/sec?
