Login to 4420-48P-4X Switch Engine returns "=" prompt and has restricted commands

Hello,

Onboarded a new 4420-48P-4X Switch Engine to XIQ. Cannot enable SSH in XIQ. From local router I can SSH into the switch but the prompt has an "=" character and I don't have the ability to disable lldp from the CLI. Software version 32.7.3.15. Even though I login with admin username there appears to be some restrictions in place but I cannot see where?

I need to SSH and disable LLDP on ports temporarily so that I can do a configuration push. It fails currently because it gives an error about disabling MED TLVs first which I cannot do from XIQ.

Edit: I found that if I use CLI Access from XIQ I can send the disable / enable lldp port command to that switch this way which allows me to do a successful configuration push. So, is this "=" a result of the switch being Managed by XIQ? Still would expect a direct login to use RW permissions.

Thanks,

Rob

Hello @RobertD1,
Yes, the "=" prompt typically indicates restricted shell access due to XIQ management. When a switch is onboarded to XIQ, direct SSH may default to limited permissions—even for admin—unless explicitly configured otherwise. Using CLI Access via XIQ is the correct method for LLDP changes in this state.
