Port-based VPLS

Port-based VPLS

Hi,

I’ve successfully setup a VPLS tunnel between 2 hosts via 2 switches thanks to this doc:

https://extremeportal.force.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000081349

But in this case, I can only pass a single client VLAN per service.

I would like to be able to pass n VLANs from multiple clients (potentially overlaping VLANs). For instance, port 1 of PE-1 is Client-1 : 18 different VLANs → service-1 ; port 2 of PE-1 is Client-2, 30 different VLAN (overlapping with Client-1’s) → service-2, etc.

Is it possible with VPLS, or should I take a look to VxLAN or other protocols?

Thanks!

 Hi,

You may use VMAN+VPWS or VMAN+VPLS for this.
