Hi all, our guy is trying to upgrade 3 X440-G2 48 10/100/1000BASE-T POE+ using Extreme 10Gb upgrade licenses. Two have worked fine but the third is throwing up the above error message. We have checked the serials and also the firmware version and all seems to be in order. Any ideas?

With thanks,

P

Hi Chis, Reading your reply again, we’ve not actually been able to generate the third license. The issue is that when we try to generate the license on the portal, the serial number is coming back as ‘not recognised’ so we’d not be able to apply the license directly to the slot as we have no third license.

Many thanks,

Pete

Hi,

The license key is hashed/tied to the serial number. Do you have more then three licenses?

Also are these stacked? I know it worked two but if it is stacked you will need to telnet to the proper slot and apply the license directly to the slot in question.

Thanks,

Chris Thompson
