Hello,
We have an X435 switch that is daisy chained to another switch and then onwards to the internet via a local site WAN router.
The second switch was connected to Cloud IQ but has become disconnected. The first switch is still connected.
On the second switch I can login to it and it has connectivity to the internet.
The status of iqagent shows failed and waiting before trying again.
The software version is 31.1.1.3.
The working switch has 31.7.3.37.
I don't believe it is possible to transfer 31.7.3.37 (~ 45M) direct to the switch or is it? If I scp the file will it use memory to receive such a large file. The tmp and cfg folders don't appear to be large enough.
I could use TFTP server (with block size support) but not available here. It has to be remotely done so cannot use USB. Switch is disconnected from XIQ so cannot upgrade that way. I could copy the .XOS file to the router and enable TFTP just for this file but it does not support block support.
If I disable and enable iqagent will this help? Btw, show time does not show anything but show sntp looks like it is working. On working switch show time does display correct time.
Will a reboot resolve the issue? Everything seems to be working apart from the iqagent.
Thanks,
Rob
Edit: I tested scp and tftp transfer of .XOS file and it transfers. Does not show in /usr/local/cfg or /usr/local/tmp but does appear if you type install image ?. I can select it and it installs into the unused partition and can be activated upon next reboot. The file is removed after installing. I can also remove the file if I don't wish to install it. So, I think I will be able to try this on the production switch.
