The stacking tool, which Jefferson referenced, is very helpful. In addition, here's a link to a page from the Hardware Installation Guide with specific stacking considerations for X460 switches.

In addition to the Stacking Tool that Jefferson mentioned, please use the steps outlined in the following GTAC Knowledge base article to configure and enable stacking on your X460-48p switches:
