Hi,
We have been upgrading our staff to Windows 1903 over the last few weeks. After the upgrade the users have trouble connecting to our wired network. We are using NAC and have three different levels of access.
- Unregistered - The user can only go to the NAC captive portal
- Registered - The user has access to the internet and limited access to internal resources
- Secure - Users who have a company issued computer and an active Active Directory account. Access to internal resources
Our staff members authenticate using 802.1x which which allows access to the "secure" network. The problem is that when the computer is shutdown or goes to sleep, it cannot re-authenticate via 802.1x when powered on or waken up. When 802.1x fails it defaults to MAC authentication which would put our staff members into the "unregistered" network. If the user reboots or disconnects and reconnects the Ethernet cable, they are able to access our "secure" network.
While I think that this is a Windows issue I am wondering if anyone else has seen this problem or has any ideas on how to fix it.
Thanks in advance,
Chris
