Has anyone attempted to use the Extreme 5m DAC SFPP cable (10306) with an Intel 10 GbE X520-DA2 NIC?
Switchtype is X440G2-48p-10GE4 (16535), shoud work!
Our customer needs to verify compatibility.

Thanks,
Udo

The X520-DA2 is a very popular 10G card and so far has worked with everything I've used in our labs. I'm pretty sure I've also used a 5m DAC without an issue. I've got a few 3m cables in use with an X520-DA2 connecting to a variety of EXOS platforms.

If anyone has tested an alternative 10GB SFPP NIC which is compatible, it would be helpful too.

Here are the supported NICs for the IBM server:
Brocade 10 Gb Dual-port CNA for IBM System x
Emulex 10GbE Virtual Fabric Adapter for IBM System x
Emulex 10GbE Virtual Fabric Adapter II for IBM System x
Emulex VFA II FCoE/iSCSI License for IBM System x (FoD)
Mellanox ConnectX-2 Dual Port 10GbE Adapter for IBM System x
Mellanox ConnectX-3 10 GbE Adapter for IBM System x
QLogic 10 Gb Dual Port CNA for IBM System x
Broadcom NetXtreme I Dual Port GbE Adapter for IBM System x
Broadcom NetXtreme I Quad Port GbE Adapter for IBM System x
Broadcom NetXtreme II Dual Port 10GBaseT Adapter for IBM System x
Intel Ethernet Dual Port Server Adapter I340-T2 for IBM System x
Intel X520 Dual Port 10GbE SFP+ Adapter for IBM System x
Intel X540-T2 Dual Port 10GBaseT Adapter for IBM System x

Thanks for some feedback,
Udo

Hi Eric, thanks for this hint. The customer has a dual-10GB-lic running.

We don't have a client running this but I thought I'd share a reminder... Those ports will only run at 1gb without added licensing. Our sales team forgets that all of the time.
