X460-48p - Second PSU does not fit?

Hi, We are trying to figure this problem out with our supplier, but maybe some of you bumped in the same issue. Basically we have 2 x460-48p with the second PSU. Now, there is a tiny piece of metal that sticks out from the first psu to the second psu bay which is preventing us to insert the second psu. That piece of meal is identical on both switches. Any ideas? thanks

thanks heaps. I think it is because it is not POE. We are arranging the replacement

As Bill said, this sounds definitely like you have non-PoE PSU that you are trying to insert in a PoE switch (or vice-versa). This cannot work and the switch/PSU have been made in a way to avoid that mistake.

What is the PN# of the power supply you are trying to install? The metal piece you are speaking of is only on the non-poe power supply to prevent you from using it in a POE model. Assuming this is a X460-48P (gen 1) - The part # of the power supply should be - 10931 - 750W - Cannot use the 10930A which is a Non-POE model. What part # is on the label?

that is definitely something weird...it looks it is made on purpose to block the installation of the PSU. Anyway...
